San Antonio - Trinity University Tigers junior midfielder Lindsay Euers (Austin, Texas/Bowie) has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Euers helped lead the third-ranked Tigers (8-0-0) to a sixth consecutive shutout last Friday, as Trinity defeated Our Lady of the Lake 4-0 in a home game.

The Tigers yielded just one first-half shot in the game, and didn't allow a corner kick in the match-up. Euers contributed offensively, as she fired in the Tigers final goal in the 89th minute, her second scoring play of the campaign.

Trinity's stingy defense has not allowed a goal in more than 600 minutes of play, and has given up two in a total of seven shutouts.

The Tigers return to action Tuesday by hosting Mary Hardin-Baylor at 5 p.m.
