San Antonio - The ninth-ranked Tiger men's soccer team defeated Greenville (IL) College 1-0 on Saturday evening.

Trinity senior All-America midfielder Zach Garcia scored the game's only goal midway through the opening period of play, keeping the Tigers (2-0-0) unbeaten early in the season.

Junior goalkeeper Tim Nelin played the entire 90 minutes, and accounted for two saves.  The Tiger defense has recorded two shutouts in as many chances so far in 2011.
 
Trinity returns to action Monday, hosting the University of Texas-Tyler at 4:00 p.m.  The game will be a rematch of last year's NCAA Division III second round playoff game - also played in San Antonio.

Trinity and UT-Tyler played to a 0-0 tie through regulation and two overtime periods, but the Tigers advanced to the third round by winning 4-2 on penalty kicks.
