Box Score San Antonio - The Trinity Tigers women's soccer
team, now ranked No. 7 nationally, remained undefeated with a 9-0
shutout of the Schreiner Mountaineers Tuesday night.
Trinity (4-0-0) also recorded its third shutout in four games. The
Tigers had a season-best 59 total shots (27 on goal), while
allowing only three (one on goal).
First-year midfielder Hannah Kuhl scored a hat trick, and became
the 22nd Tiger women's soccer player to score three or more goals
in one game. Kuhl also chalked up an assist.
Stephanie Segovia, a first-year forward, scored two goals, and
leads the Tigers with seven on the season.
Emily Jorgens, a first-year midfielder, tied a Trinity record for
assists in a game, with four. She becomes the
fifth Tiger player to reach that total, with the
last being teammate Kelly Watts in 2009.
First-year midfielder Mariah Risk also scored a goal, and made an
assist. Also listed in the scoring column were junior midfielder
Samantha Atkins, sophomore defender Jennifer White, and sophomore
forward Shelby Guenthardt,
Sophomore midfielder Tara Sparks and first-year midfielder Kelsey
Falcone contributed one assist each.
Trinity will host Texas-Dallas at 7:00 p.m. Friday, and Texas-Tyler
at noon Sunday.
