Box Score San Antonio - Trinity men's soccer player Yuri Ribeiro was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Tigers to two conference victories.
Ribeiro led the Tigers with two goals in each game over the weekend, as Trinity defeated both Austin College and Centenary College. It marked the fourth and fifth multi-goal games for the 2010 All-American.
Against Austin College, Ribeiro scored the first two goals of the game to jump-start the Tiger offense. On Sunday afternoon, he turned a 1-0 early lead into a 3-0 lead with consecutive goals in the opening half.
Ribeiro leads Trinity with 12 goals and seven assists this season, totaling a team-best 29 points and two game-winning goals.
Head Coach Paul McGinlay is in his 22nd season with the Tigers, having compiled more than 350 wins in his career. Coach McGinlay led Trinity to the 2003 NCAA Division III Championship, as well as a second-place finish nationally in 2007.
