Box Score Kerrville, Texas - Trinity's women's golf
team is in second place with a score of 328 after the first round
of play at the Schreiner Fall Classic.
Five Tiger players finished in the top 18 individually, as the
team trails Division II St. Mary's UNiversity by just four strokes.
Trinity is four ahead of hosting Schreiner in third place,
followed by Concordia University in fourth.
Molly McCarthy shot 40 on both the front and back nine to earn a
spot in fourth place after the first day. Molly Zumbro was
just one stroke back (42-39) in a tie for fifth place.
Brigette Lee, Alessa Hutter, and Madison Wallender rounded out
the Tiger scorers on Monday. Lee is tied for 11th after her
83 (41-42), while Hutter shot an 84 overall, but her back nine
score of 38 was the best of the day for Trinity. Wallender
shot 85 (42-43) to tie for 18th.
Madeline Moran is playing as an individual for the Tigers, and
is tied with Zumbro for fifth place. Moran shot 40-41 on the
day, and is the only individual in the top 10.
Tomorrow marks the final day of the tournament, which is being
played at Scott Schreiner Golf Course.
