San Antonio - Trinity's Emily Jorgens and Kimberly Polasek have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

The Tiger duo led the team to a pair of shutouts in SCAC play this weekend, beating Austin College and Centenary College by a combined score of 13-0. 

Jorgens had two goals and two assists over the weekend, leading all Trinity scorers.  She scored her fourth game-winning goal of the season in Sunday's win over Centenary, and had a hand in three straight goals against Austin.  Jorgens scored a goal in the first half, then assisted on the next two Tiger scores.

This season, Jorgens leads the team with eight assists, and combined with her seven goals scored, she is second on the team with 22 total points scored.

Polasek led a defense that allowed just nine total shots in two games, and earned shutouts for the second straight time against both teams.  In addition to her defensive contributions, she also had a goal and an assist in the two games - including Friday's game-winner against Austin.  

The goal on Friday was her first this season, and she also has three assists.  The Tigers have posted nine shutouts this season, and have allowed just seven total goals.

Trinity is led by Head Coach Lance Key, who is in his ninth year with the team.  Heading into the season, he was in the top five among active Division III coaches with an .860 winning percentage.
