Colorado Springs, Colorado - The Tiger men's soccer team tied Colorado College 1-1 in a matchup of the top two teams in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings on Friday evening.

Trinity is now 14-0-2 on the season and 7-0-1 in the SCAC, while Colorado College moves to 11-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in conference play.  Trinity earned a 1-0 win over Colorado College earlier this season in San Antonio.

Colorado College struck first with a goal in the 20th minute of play, putting Trinity behind in a game for the first time since September 14 at the University of Redlands.  Trinity also tied that game 1-1 in double-overtime.

Just under 13 minutes into the second half, Yuri Ribeiro knocked home his 13th goal of the season, improving his team lead.  Nima Naderi was credited with the assist.  Ribeiro took nine of Trinity's 20 shots in the game, with five of them being on goal.

Trinity was out-shot by Colorado College 7-5 in the first half, but the top-ranked Tigers held a 15-3 edge in shots in the second half and two overtime periods. 

Goalkeeper Matt Cardone recorded four saves for Trinity, while Forrest Marowitz needed seven total saves - six after halftime - to preserve the tie.

Trinity continues its SCAC road weekend on Sunday, facing off against the University of Dallas.  The Tigers are seeking the top seed in the SCAC Tournament, which will be at Trinity from November 2-4.
