San Antonio - After winning the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, Trinity's men's soccer team had five players named to the  All-Tournament Team.

The Tigers defeated Austin College 1-0 in double-overtime in the SCAC Semifinals, then beat Southwestern University 2-0 in the SCAC Championship this past Sunday afternoon.

Jonny Lawson was named the SCAC Tournament Offensive MVP, while Michael Micheletti was the Defensive MVP of the Tournament.  Lawson scored the game-winning goal in the championship game, as well as assisting on the only goal of the game against Austin.  Micheletti led a defense that did not concede a goal in the tournament.

Joining Lawson and Micheletti on the All-Tournament Team were Yuri Ribeiro, Victor Araujo, and Nima Naderi.  Ribeiro and Araujo both assisted on Lawson's game-winner on Sunday, while Naderi was also a key player in the midfield for the Tigers.

Trinity received the SCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs, and will host a four-team regional this weekend.  The Tigers open play against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.  The winner will face either Mississippi College or Whitworth University at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
