Lambert has been chosen as the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Lambert led Trinity to a pair of SCAC wins over Hendrix and
Colorado College over the weekend, finishing off the team's
regular season home schedule.
Lambert averaged 23.0 points/game and 4.5 rebounds/game over the
weekend, hitting 17-34 (50%) from the field and 8-11 (72.7%) from
the free throw line. He also buried 4-7 (57.1%) of his
three-point attempts, recorded three steals, and dished out three
assists.
In Friday's win over Hendrix, Lambert established a new
team season-high with 27 points in just 27 minutes, on 11-16
shooting from the field. In Sunday's overtime win
against Colorado, Lambert scored 12 of his 19 points after halftime
to lead the Tigers to their sixth consecutive win.
For the season, Lambert leads Trinity with 14.2 points/game and
is third on the team with 4.5 rebounds/game. He is shooting
50.4% (129-256) from the field and 40% (28-70) on
three-pointers.
The Tigers will finish off the regular season on the road,
taking on the University of Dallas and Austin College on Friday and
Saturday. Trinity and Austin are currently atop the SCAC West
Division standings, setting up a potential battle for the
division's top seed at the SCAC Tournament at the end of the
month.
