player Zach Lambert has been selected as the Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, leading
Trinity to four wins over the holiday break.
Lambert led the Tigers to a pair of victories at both the
Southwestern and Trinity Classic tournaments over the past three
weeks.
Lambert averaged 19.5 points/game over the four
victories, shooting a blistering 62.7% (32-51) from the field over
the break. He also pulled down 4.5 rebounds/game and 2.3
steals/game over the last four games.
Against SUNYIT, Lambert recorded his fourth
20-point game of the season with 27 points on 11-14 shooting in
just 23 minutes of action. He has reached double figures in scoring
in each of his 9 games played this season.
For the season, Lambert leads the Tigers with 19.1
points/game, and is the only player averaging in double figures. He
is also leading the team with 16 steals and is second on the team
with 5.9 rebounds/game.
This weekend, the Tigers will host Dallas and Colorado College
in a pair of SCAC games on Friday and Sunday.
