San Antonio - Trinity first-year Madeline Moran has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.

Moran finished in a tie for third place at the West Region Invitational, hosted by Southwestern University on Monday and Tuesday.  She shot a 161 (83-78) in the 36-hole event, and the Tiger women finished in third place as a team - just two shots behind hosting Southwestern.

Playing as an individual, Moran earned the lowest score among all SCAC participants in the tournament, and she was just five strokes off the individual medalist.

Trinity is led by Head Coach Carla Spenkoch, and the Tigers will return to action April 20-21 at the SCAC Championships.  The conference meet is hosted by Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.
