Box Score

San Antonio - Tiger senior forward Johnny Lawson has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Lawson paced the second-ranked Tigers to two SCAC shutout home wins last weekend over Austin College and the University of Dallas.

He chalked up three goals in the matchups, including a pair against Austin College.  The goal turned out to be the game-winner, and the only scoring play of the first half. Lawson's goal against Dallas gave Trinity a 2-0 lead after only slightly more than 15 minutes of action.

This season, Lawson has produced 14 goals, with three game-winners. He is tied for second on the Tiger team with seven assists, and has amassed a team-leading 35 points.

Trinity (17-1-0, 13-0-0 SCAC) has won 14 consecutive games and has accounted for 10 shutout victories. The Tigers wrap up their regular-season SCAC schedule Friday by hosting Southwestern University at 5:00 p.m. Additionally, defending champion Trinity has secured the No. 1 seeded position for the SCAC Championship to be held November 7-9 at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.

The final regular-season game is scheduled for Sunday as the Tigers host the University of California-Santa Cruz at 7:00 p.m. Trinity's seniors will be honored prior to the game.
