Pennsylvania, on Saturday afternoon.
Trinity (22-0-1) takes on No. 9 Thomas More
University (22-1-0) in the third round at Carnegie Mellon
University at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The winner advances to the
quarterfinals at
1 p.m. Sunday against the winner of No. 6
Carnegie Mellon (16-2-0) and 20th-ranked Johns Hopkins
University (18-3-1).
At stake is a berth in the NCAA semifinals, to
be held December 5 at Kansas City, Missouri. The championship game
is slated for December 6.
The Tigers, led by 11th-year Head Coach Lance
Key, advanced to the 2013 NCAA Championship game, with San
Antonio's Toyota Field serving as the host venue. Coach
Key has guided Trinity to 10 NCAA Playoff appearances.
Trinity reached this year's round of 16
with two victories on the Tigers' field. First up was a
3-0 shutout over the University of Texas-Tyler, which received
votes in the national poll. The Tigers then defeated the University
of Redlands 2-1 in the second round.
