Trinity Tigers first-year student-athlete Hanna Niner has
been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Women's Golfer of the Week.
Niner paced the 10th-ranked Tigers
to a No. 7 finish at last week's Jekyll Island Collegiate
Invitational, at Jekyll Island, Ga., which consisted of over 20 of
the top teams in the NCAA Division III.
In the individual tournament, Niner shot an
opening-round 6-over-par 78 and completed the day in fourth place.
She followed in the second round with a 77 and remained in a tie
for the No. 4 slot. Niner wrapped up the three-round tournament,
consisting of some 120 golfers, in sixth place. Her final-round
5-over 77 gave her a 232 total.
Trinity will compete April 7-8 at the West
Region Invitational at Georgetown, Texas.
