San Antonio - Trinity's Hanna Niner has been tabbed as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.

Niner paced the Tigers at the Schreiner Spring Shootout last weekend in Kerrville, Texas, by winning medalist honors. Trinity also won the team championship, by a 40-stroke margin over host Schreiner University at The Club at Comanche Trace.

The Tiger sophomore started the two-day event in a tie for ninth place, by shooting an 11-over-par 83. Niner kept fighting and bettered her score by seven strokes for a 4-over 76 in the final round, which was the lowest score of the tournament. She won the title by two strokes over Melanie Dean of Schreiner.

Trinity will next compete March 14-15 at the George Fox Invitational at Peoria, Arizona.
