Tiger Women's Soccer Team Earns Academic Award From NSCAA

San Antonio - Trinity women's soccer has received a 2014-15 Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Trinity was the top team in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a cumulative grade point average of 3.55 on a 4.00 scale. It marked the ninth consecutive time, and 15th overall year the program was honored by the NSCAA.

In 2014, Trinity alumni Emily Jorgens and Kelsey Falcone were awarded prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships. Jorgens is now pursuing a master's degree in accounting, and Falcone is in her first year of medical school. Additionally, five Tiger players earned NSCAA Scholar All-American and Scholar All-Region accolades last season.

The current Tiger team, led by 12th-year Head Coach Lance Key, is ranked No. 2 in the nation. Trinity is undefeated with an 8-0-1 overall record, and stands at 4-0-0 in the SCAC. On Tuesday, September 29, the Tigers will host the University of Texas-Dallas at 5:00 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
