Brigette Lee Elected CoSIDA Academic All-American

San Antonio - Trinity women's golfer Brigette Lee has been elected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America At-Large Third Team for the second consecutive year.

Lee earlier was selected for the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 Team for the third straight time.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree last month in biochemistry and molecular biology, while graduating summa cum laude (with highest honor). The future physician plans to attend the Baylor College of Medicine, located in Houston, Texas.

On the golf course, the talented Lee qualified for the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Team in each of her four years of competition. In April, Lee garnered All-SCAC Second Team honors, tying for seventh place at the SCAC Championship in Blanco, Texas. The Tigers won their second SCAC Championship in the past three seasons. Lee placed 10th in the 2015 SCAC Championship, for all-conference Second Team accolades. The versatile Lee finished third in 2014, for First Team kudos, sparking the Tigers to the conference title. She opened her collegiate career by winning the SCAC individual title in 2013. Lee was named the SCAC Women's Golfer of the Year, and the SCAC Freshman Golfer of the Year.

Trinity's women's golf team is led by Director of Golf Carla Spenkoch, who has completed 18 seasons in charge of the Tiger golf program.
