GAME SUMMARY
The Tigers scored a field goal early in the first quarter, but Chapman had two touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 12-3 halfitme lead.
Trinity's third quarter touchdown made it 12-10, and neither team scored until late in the fourth quarter.
Chapman extended the lead to 19-10 with a touchdown run that came with 5:56 remaining in the game.
Trinity answered on its next drive, scoring with 2:56 to play to make it a 19-17 game, then after a defensive stand, the Tigers missed a potential game-winning 47-yard field goal as time expired.
NOTABLES
The Tigers fell to 2-2 overall, while Chapman (1-1) earned its first win of the season.
Evan McDowell posted his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game, finishing with 123 yards on 30 carries.
Cort Cowart posted a team-best 74 yards receiving on four receptions. McDowell had seven catches for 42 yards in the game. Tommy Lavine (five receptions for 61yards) and Tommy Lavine had five receptions for 61 yards and a score.
Luke Packard paced the Trinity defense with six tackles overall, and 2.5 tackles for loss.
Mitchell Globe and Alejandro Anzaldua finished with five tackles each.
