San Antonio - Trinity junior guard Micah Weaver has been tabbed as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Weaver earned the accolade by turning in exemplary performances in the 16th-ranked Tigers' two SCAC road victories last weekend. Trinity first defeated Colorado College 75-43, and then bested the University of Dallas 76-61.

The 5-foot-8 Weaver produced 15 points in the nod over Colorado College. She also accounted for three steals in the matchup. Weaver led all scorers in the win over Dallas with 23 points in her column. She shot 9-19 from the field and sank 4-4 free throws. Weaver also led the game with a team season-high six steals and paced the Tigers with five assists and seven rebounds.

This season, Weaver is second in Trinity points per game (14.5 points/game) and leads the team in field goal percentage (55.3%, 99-179). Weaver averages 4.8 rebounds per game and has chalked up 38 steals and 36 assists. Beyond the arc, Weaver has the best percentage, hitting 38.5% of her shots (5-13).

The Tigers are sporting a 16-1 overall record and are 5-1 in the SCAC standings. Trinity gets another crack at last week's opponents with two home games. First up is Colorado College at 5:30 p.m. Friday followed by the University of Dallas at 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
