San Antonio - Trinity sophomore middle blocker Lindsey Lubianski has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

In last weekend's Trinity Texas Classic, Lubianski led the fifth-ranked Tigers to three wins in their final regular-season home matches. Trinity defeated the University of Texas-Dallas, Concordia (TX) University, and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) by scores of 3-1. UT-Dallas and Mary Hardin-Baylor received votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Poll.

Lubianski amassed 21 kills (2.33/set) in the three matches, and hit .444 in the tournament. Against UT-Dallas, Lubianski fired up 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .562. She made seven kills and hit .357 in the match with Concordia. This season, Lubianski has chalked up 97 kills (2.31/set) and is hitting .444 overall.

Led by 33rd-year Head Coach Julie Jenkins, the Tigers are 26-6 on the season and stand at 11-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. Defending champion Trinity is the #2 seed in the SCAC Tournament, to be held Friday and Saturday in Kerrville, Texas. The Tigers received a bye to the semifinals, and will play at 6:00 p.m. Friday against the winner of third-ranked and #3 seed Southwestern (TX) University and #6 seed Centenary (LA) College.
