Trinity Volleyball Ranked Fourth in the Nation

San Antonio - The Trinity volleyball team is now the fourth-ranked squad in the nation, by the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Poll.

Trinity (13-2) held a #5 ranking last week prior to a successful trip to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Divisional at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. The Tigers defeated Southwestern, then ranked second, and finished with wins over Texas Lutheran University and Schreiner (TX) University.

Head Coach Julie Jenkins was honored by SCAC Commissioner Dwayne Hanberry for a milestone victory. Following the win over Texas Lutheran, Coach Jenkins became the first coachin any sport to amass 300 SCAC victories.

The Tigers, who are on an eight-match winning streak, head to Seguin, Texas, for a weekend SCAC Divisional at Texas Lutheran. On Saturday, Trinity meets Austin (TX) College, and then has a showdown with second-ranked Colorado College. Sunday's schedule has the Tigers playing Centenary (LA) College and the University of Dallas (TX).
