San Antonio - Trinity junior Katrina Lieberman and first-year Emma Funk have been tabbed as the respective Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

Lieberman and Funk helped spark the 13th-ranked Tigers to a sweep of last weekend's SCAC Cross-Divisional at Irving, Texas. Trinity started the event with a victory over second-ranked Colorado College and finished with wins over the host University of Dallas (TX) and Johnson & Wales (CO) University.

A setter, Lieberman earned the weekly honor for the second time this season. In the opener against Colorado College, Lieberman posted a career-high 60 assists, which placed her on Trinity's top-25 single-match record list. During the three matches Lieberman recorded 101 assists, an average of 11.22 per set.

This season, Lieberman has chalked up 738 assists for an average of 10.54 per set. She also has been responsible for 173 digs with 2.47 coming each set.

A middle blocker, Funk led the Colorado College matchup with a career-best six blocks, while firing in 10 kills. Funk also posted five digs against the Colorado Tigers. Over the three matches Funk made 10 blocks, for 1.25 per set, as well as chalking up eight digs.

During the campaign Funk has amassed 39 blocks, for .98 per set. She also is hitting .318 with 70 kills to her credit.

Trinity stands at 15-4 overall and is undefeated in the SCAC with a 7-0 mark. The Tigers will host Texas Lutheran University Thursday in a SCAC match at 7:00 p.m.
