San Antonio - The Trinity volleyball team is now ranked ninth in the nation by the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Poll.
Led by Head Coach Julie Jenkins, the Tigers were previously ranked 13th in the weekly poll. Trinity stands at 15-4 overall and is undefeated in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 7-0 mark.
Last weekend, the Tigers opened the SCAC Cross-Divisional in Irving, Texas, with a 3-2 victory over then-second-ranked Colorado College. Trinity swept the tournament with 3-0 wins over the host University of Dallas (TX) and Johnson & Wales (CO) University.
The Tigers also hold some high Division III statistical rankings. Trinity is ranked second nationally in team assists (902) and third in kills (963). Junior setter Katrina Lieberman is ranked second in total assists with 738 in her column.
Trinity will host Texas Lutheran University in an SCAC matchup at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
