San Antonio - The Trinity volleyball team received a #17 final national ranking by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III Poll.

Led by 34th-year Head Coach Julie Jenkins, the Tigers completed the season with a 25-7 overall record and a 15-1 mark in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).

Trinity took third place at the SCAC Championship, defeating the University of Dallas (TX) in the process. Five Tiger players were elected to the All-SCAC Teams, including senior Madeline McKay and junior Katrina Lieberman. Lieberman was elected to the all-conference first team, and McKay was selected for the top team for the third year in a row.

The Tigers earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship, marking the 24th occasion Trinity competed in the postseason event. Aurora (IL) University upset Trinity in the first round at Chicago, Illinois.

After election to the AVCA All-West Region Team, McKay and Lieberman were tabbed for the organization's All-America Teams. McKay was selected for the All-America Third Team, while Lieberman made the Honorable Mention Team.

With the addition of McKay and Lieberman, Trinity has produced 20 All-Americans to the First, Second, and Third Teams. The 33 All-America certificates place Trinity in the seventh position in the NCAA Division III.

This season, McKay fired in 374 kill shots. During her career she posted 1,243 kills and is ranked 10th in Trinity's record books. Lieberman produced 1,245 assists in the campaign, and stands in 11th place in Trinity's single-season records.

In the course of the season, Trinity claimed victories over nationally ranked teams. Included on the list were second-ranked Colorado College, #7 Gustavus Adolphus (MN) College, and #21 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX).
