Peoria, Arizona – Trinity's women's golf team is in eighth place after the opening day at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational.

HIGHLIGHTS

Trinity shot a combined score of 331 in Saturday's opening round at the par-71 Westlake Village Golf Club course.

Emilee Strausburg is tied for fifth place after the first round of action, carding a +4 score of 75 to start the tournament. She is just three strokes off the lead and one shot from a tie for second place individually.

Taylor Moser shot a 12-over-par 83 in round one, finishing in 29th place individually. Elizabeth McGillivray tied for 34th with her score of 85 in the first round.
