Box Score Seguin, Texas - The Trinity women's golf team maintained its lead and emerged as the team champion Tuesday of the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic at Starcke Park Municipal Course.
HIGHLIGHTS
Trinity captured the championship of the seven-team Texas Lutheran event by shooting a second-round 315 for a 634 total. The Tigers beat runner-up University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) by 16 strokes.
Emilee Strausburg broke from a tie for third place to finish second with a 12-over-par 156. Strausburg shot a final-round 77 and was one stroke behind the leader from McMurry (TX) University.
Delaney Kelley completed the tournament tied for third place at 158, bettering her score by six strokes from the first round. Elizabeth McGillivray stood alone in the #5 position.
Raquel Hill rounded out the Trinity golfers in the top-10 standings with an eighth-place finish. Jordan Jasperson improved her first-round score by eight strokes and tied for the #18 slot. Individual player Sarah Buss marked a five-stroke improvement and tied for 28th place.
