Trinity Women's Soccer Rises in Weekly Rankings

San Antonio - The Trinity women's soccer team rose in the weekly national and regional rankings in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Poll.

The Tigers are now ranked 22nd in the national poll after receiving votes last week. Trinity improved to a #2 ranking in the West Region from third place the previous week.

Led by third-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers stand at 4-1-1 overall and are 3-0-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Trinity posted three straight conference shutout victories last week, defeating Texas Lutheran University, Austin (TX) College, and Centenary (LA) College.

Senior forward Chelsea Cole scored five goals over the week, including four in the 9-0 win over Austin College. Cole's four goals tied a school record, as she became the seventh player in Trinity history to achieve that milestone. Cole is the team's leader with six goals, and now has 37 in her career column, good for a tie for 10th place in Trinity's record books.

Trinity's offense has fired in 21 goals this season. The opposition has scored ony two goals over the six games during the campaign.

The Tigers will host SCAC newcomer Johnson & Wales (CO) University at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
