San Antonio - Trinity's Raquel Hill has received the honor of being named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Golfer of the Week.

Hill captured the individual title at the Trinity-hosted Alamo City Classic and sparked Trinity to the team title at The Quarry Golf Course. The Tiger sophomore shot a 9-over-par 80 on the final day of the event and finished with a 157 total. She rose from a third-place start and won the championship by one stroke.

Hill tied for second in the tournament with three birdies on her card, including two in the final round. She also posted 17 pars over two rounds.

Last season, Hill tied for first place at the Schreiner Spring Shootout in Kerrville, Texas. As a first-year golfer, Hill placed fifth at the 2019 SCAC Championship and was named the conference Freshman of the Year.

The Tiger women's team shot a second-round 327 at the Alamo City Classic and won the eight-team tournament with a 642. Trinity finished 37 strokes ahead of runner-up Schreiner (TX) University. The Tigers won the team title for the third time in four years.
