San Antonio - Tiger junior Avery Tuggle has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Tuggle paced the ninth-ranked Tigers to a 3-0 record at last week's SCAC event in Denver, Colorado. Trinity opened with a 3-1 win over Austin (TX) College. The Tigers wrapped up with a 3-2 victory over Texas Lutheran University and a 3-0 decision over host Johnson & Wales (CO) University.

The Tiger outside hitter posted double-doubles in each of the three matches. Tuggle chalked up 13 kills and 12 digs against Austin College, while hitting .357. She fired in 17 kills and 13 digs in the match with Texas Lutheran and had 16 kills and 12 digs in the finale with Johnson & Wales. Tuggle also hit .500 against the Wildcats.

This season, Tuiggle leads the Tigers with 169 kills (3.07/set). She is third in digs with 153 (2.78/set) in her column and is hitting .247.

Trinity (11-3) travels to Seguin, Texas, Wednesday to play the University of St. Thomas (TX) at 4:15 p.m. at Texas Lutheran University. The Tigers will host Schreiner (TX) University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
