KERRVILLE, Texas - Trinity University Women's Soccer defeated Schreiner University, 4-0, on the road Saturday afternoon in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
The Tigers found the back of the net off the foot of four different players while the back line allowed just two shots over 90 minutes, neither of which were on-goal.
Trinity Women's Soccer moves along the SCAC schedule to University of Dallas next Saturday.
The Rundown
In the 15th minute, sophomore forward Molly Sheridan (St. Louis, Mo. / Kirkwood) broke the scoreless knot with her third-consecutive goal for the Tiger offense after collecting both goals in the second half of last week's bout with Southwestern University which earned her SCAC Offensive Player of the Week. Sheridan's goal represented the halftime tally of 1-0.
The Mountaineers could only keep the Trinity firepower at bay for so long, as junior forward Kaity Ward (Phoenix, Ariz. / Xavier Prep) found her third goal of the season just five minutes post-intermission.
For good measure, sophomore defender Nyah Shepherd (Deer Park, Texas Deer Park South) and first-year midfielder Tedi Del Prete (Albuquerque, N.M. Hope Christian) each dropped their first goals of the season on Schreiner in the final six minutes of action.
