Box Score Killeen, Texas - The Tiger women's golf team is in second place behind the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, which is hosting the Lady Crusader Spring Invitational over the weekend.
Trinity shot a first-round team score of 314 and trails the Crusaders by just eight shots. The event is being held at the Stonetree Golf Club and features five total teams and seven golfers playing as individuals.
Highlights
Erin Flynn (League City, Texas / Clear Falls) is leading the Tigers after shooting a collegiate-best score of 74 on Saturday, putting her in third place in the tournament. That marks her second consecutive round in the 70s after finishing last week's SCAC Preview with a 79. Flynn is tied for first in the field in par 4 scoring after round one and stands second in the tournament with four birdies.
Caterina Mora Adrover (Portocolom, Spain / IES Felantix) shot a 79 to secure fifth place individually after round one and was the only other Trinity player under 80 today. She is tied for first among all players with 11 pars in her first 18 holes.
Delaney Kelley (Marble Falls, Texas / Marble Falls) is tied for 6th after shooting a season-low score of 80 in Saturday's action. She is tied for the tournament lead in par 3 scoring after one round and is tied for fourth in the field with 10 pars after the first 18 opportunities.
Raquel Hill (Canyon Lake, Texas / Smithson Valley) and Kiona Hsiu (Missouri City, Texas / Elkins) both tied for eighth with their round-one scores of 81. Hill has also posted her two best rounds of the season in the last 36 holes and she is tied with Flynn for sixth in the field with nine pars.

"The women are hitting great shots and playing really well," said Head Coach Carla Spenkoch. "We really just need to make some putts."
