The Rundown
The Tigers paced themselves to begin their third SCAC match in five days, collecting just one shot attempt in the first 10 minutes, though a pair of offside calls replaced quality runs early. Bosco sent the first warning to the Crusader keeper just into the 14', the first of her three attempts in the first 24 minutes.
In the 34' Campbell broke the seal on an attack from the right side, assisted by senior defender Bailey Meyer (Southlake, Texas / Carroll). Just five minutes later, Wallace rounded out the first-half tally on her own.
To open the second-half scoring, Trinity's newly-entered keeper, Finley took advantage of spacing downfield in transition and booted the ball just outside the 18 for Bosco to play the bounce and slot in her 14th goal of the season.
The latter half of the Tigers' scoring effort came in a seven-minute window as senior midfielder Cassie Bowers (Lafayette, La. / Episcopal School of Acadiana) tipped in a free kick from Wallace that was collected in the box by Bosco and fed to Bowers near the left post.
Sophomore midfielder Maya Ozymy (Dallas, Texas / Coppell) put the match away for good with two successful strikes in the 67' and 69' minutes. The first came on a direct in from sophomore Abby Schneider (Albuquerque, N.M. / Bosque) who collected in the far-left corner from first-year defender Isla Newland (St. Louis, Mo. / Kirkwood)). The second from Ozymy, and final for the Tigers, was fed inside by first-year forward Erin Heath (Lake Jackson, Texas) who collected a loose ball in front of the center line.
