The Rundown
Trinity led the entire game, beginning with a three-pointer from Sechi on the opening possession of the game. The Tigers scored 10 of the first 12 points to take an eight-point lead early, prompting a timeout from the Southwestern sideline. Less than a minute later, the lead was up to double digits for the first time in the game.
Southwestern hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the lead to four points with under 15 minutes left in the half. The Tigers were able to push the lead back to eight by hitting a pair of triples of their own around a Southwestern basket, but the Pirates answered with seven unanswered points to make it a 22-21 lead with just under 11 remaining.
Jacob Harvey (Huffman, Texas / Hargrave) scored the next six points on his own, knocking down a pair of three-pointers to increase the Tiger advantage to seven points. The lead was still five with six minutes left when Kaleb Jenkins (New Orleans, La. / MP Country Day) and Clark combined for seven straight points in just over a minute of play to put Trinity up 37-25. The lead never dropped below 10 points the rest of the half and Trinity led 44-32 at the break.
Southwestern hit a three-pointer to make it a nine-point game to start the second half, but Trinity went on a 7-1 run to pull in front 51-36 just over four minutes into the period. The teams traded small runs after that as the lead went back and forth from nine to 15 points over the next few minutes.
The lead was still 11 when Trinity scored nine of the next 11 over a stretch of just over three minutes, growing the lead to 77-59 with less than five minutes remaining in the game. Griffin Levine (Dallas, Texas / Yavneh) scored seven of Trinity's nine points during that stretch, which turned out to be all seven of the points he scored.
That run sealed the win as the Tiger defense allowed just six more points in the game, pushing the lead as high as 22 points with just over a minute remaining. That largest lead of the game came courtesy of the first career three-pointer for senior Mason Roberts (Kerrville, Texas / Tivy).
Numbers to Note
Harvey led the Tiger bench with 11 points on 4-for-8 from the field. That included 3-for-6 from beyond the arc in his 20 minutes on the floor, adding a pair of steals.

Mick Marquez (Anthem, Ariz. / Anthem Prep) made the most of his first career start on Senior Day, leading the Tigers with seven rebounds, and scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting. Marquez also had three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
