Trinity University Women's Soccer continues conference play when they travel to Houston to play the University of St. Thomas, then head back home to battle against Centenary College.
The Tigers (7-4-2, 4-0 SCAC) were on the offensive prowess during last weekend's matchup. The Tigers started the weekend with a dusting of Southwestern 4-0. Then, the Tigers made their way to Seguin and beat the Bulldogs 2-1. The Tigers sported five different goal scorers. Senior
Kyra Stafford (Albuquerque, New Mexico / Hope Christian) and sophomore
Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Southlake Carroll) added goals to their ledger.
Malea Cesar (Portland, Oregon / Sunset) and
Clara Richards (Buffalo, New York / Williamsville South) found the back of the net for the first time this season. Junior
Abby Schneider (Albuquerque, New Mexico / Bosque School) scored a goal in each match this weekend.
It wasn't just the Tiger offense that had a great weekend, the Tiger defense was locked in also. The Tigers only allowed one goal on two shots. In their match against Southwestern, the Tigers allowed ZERO shots on goal. That marks the third time this season that the Tigers have not allowed a shot on goal during a match.
SCAC Player of the Week - Abby Schneider, Offensive
Junior
Abby Schneider has been selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for week seven. Schneider is the first Tiger to win the award this season.
Schneider notched a goal in each game over the weekend as Trinity remained undefeated in SCAC play. Schneider's goal on Friday put the Tigers up 2-0 against Southwestern. In the match against TLU, Schneider rang home the eventual game-winner in the 38th minute to help deliver a 2-1 victory.
