Box Score Trinity University Women's Soccer finished up with a 2-2 tie against Concordia University (TX) at Paul McGinlay Field on Wednesday night.
The Tigers put the attack on late in the first half when a beautiful pass from
Malea Cesar (Portland, Oregon / Sunset) allowed
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bluff) to find the back of the net for the first goal of the game and first of her career.
Even though the score was tied, the Tigers were determined to take the lead. After a crucial foul by the Tornadoes, junior
Michaela Bosco (Weatherford, Texas / Weatherford) aced a huge penalty kick to put the Tigers up 2-1 less than 10 minutes into the second half. The Tornadoes would go on to tie up the game in the middle of the second half.
The Tigers spent the majority of the back end of the second half on the Concordia side of the field but just couldn't put the ball into the back of the net for the lead. The Tigers vastly out shot the Tornadoes 32-6, with 14 of those being on goal. This is the third time these teams have met. With this result, the Tigers hold a 2-0-1 record against the Tornadoes.
