The Tigers (8-1-2, 4-0 SCAC) are on the road for both SCAC matchups this weekend. Afterwards, the Tigers return to the Paul to face Schreiner on Tuesday. After wins over the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs and Southwestern Pirates, they look to keep up their SCAC winning run.
Abby Schneider (Albuquerque, N.M / Bosque School) notched her third goal of the season against TLU before adding a fourth and fifth against the Pirates on Sunday.

SCAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Malea Cesar
For the first time in her career, sophomore
Malea Cesar has been selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Cesar was key in Trinity's wins over Texas Lutheran and Southwestern last weekend, improving the Tigers to a perfect 4-0 in league play. Cesar anchored a Tiger defense that recorded shutouts in both matches and only allowed seven shots on goal from second and third ranked teams in the conference. From her defender position, Cesar also added an assist during each game, including an assist that led to the game-winning goal.
NCAA Regional Rankings - Tigers at 6
The first regional rankings for the NCAA dropped this week and Trinity has been ranked as the sixth best team in Region X. The Tigers have a NCAA Power Index (NPI) of 58.573. Pomona-Pitzer holds the top spot with an NPI of 60.88 and Pacific Lutheran is second with an NPI of 59.163. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Cal Lutheran, and Hardin-Simmons round out the top five. UC Santa Crus is the seventh ranked team in the region with an NPI 57.176.
Preview - The SCAC Continues On The Road
The Tigers will start their weekend away against The University of Dallas on Friday, October 18th at 7:30 PM. Then, they will face Austin College on Sunday, October 20th at 2:00 PM. Finally, the Tigers will take on Schreiner University on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:00 PM.
On the University of Dallas Crusaders: The Crusaders hold a 3-6-1 record going into their matchup with the Tigers. In their last two games, the University of Dallas tied the University of the Ozarks 2-2 and beat Centenary College 3-0. The Tigers will look to stop Senior midfielder Claire Reed, who has scored five goals so far this season and leads the Crusaders with eleven points. Last time out, Trinity defeated the University of Dallas 2-0 to take their all time record to 35-1-0.
On the Austin College Roos: The Roos have had a positive season so far, with a record of 8-2-2. In their past two SCAC games, Austin College shutout Centenary 3-0 and overcame the University of the Ozarks in a tough 3-2 victory. Freshman forward Jetta Broquard leads the Roos in goals and points, tallying four goals and three assists. Last time out, the Tigers blanked Austin College 6-0 at the Paul. Trinity holds an all time record of 33-0-0 against the Roos.
On the Schreiner Mountaineers: The Neers have had a tough start to the 2024 season, holding a record of 1-9-1. In their previous two SCAC matchups, the Mountaineers have been shutout by Southwestern 1-0 and Texas Lutheran 4-0. Schreiner's sole win of the year was a 1-0 victory against Huston-Tillotson. In the 2023 game, the Tigers defeated the Neers 3-0, bringing their all time record to 27-0.
