Career goals at Trinity: need 26 to tie for a spot in the Top 25 United Soccer Coaches National Ranking - Tigers Jump 4 Spots to 14

In the national poll by the United Soccer Coaches, the Tigers are ranked 14th. This is the third time this season that Trinity has been placed into the national rankings. The University of Mary Washington is ranked first with Tufts in second. SCAC rival and weekend opponent Colorado College is ranked fourth.

SCAC Defensive Player of the Week - JonConnor Rule

For the third time in his career, JonConnor Rule has been selected as the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week.

From the SCAC Press Release:

Rule was outstanding leading the Trinity defensive effort last weekend that produced a pair of SCAC shutout victories on the road at Dallas (6-0) and Austin College (3-0). Playing 160 of the 180 possible minutes over the two fixtures last week, Rule anchored a back line that allowed just five shots, without a single shot on target to help the Tigers post their seventh and eighth shutout of the year. Additionally, Rule got involved offensively scoring a goal in each match, just the second time in his career he has registered a goal in back-to-back contests.

Preview - Tigers Face Biggest Challenge Yet

The Tigers will start the weekend on Friday, October 25th at 4:00 PM against the University of St Thomas. Trinity will then travel to the Centennial State to play against Colorado College on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

With two wins this weekend, Head Coach Paul McGinlay will be tied with Horst Richardson of Colorado College for the 6th all time winningest Coach in D-III (566 wins)

On the University of St Thomas Celts: The Celts hold a 7-4-2 record moving into this weekend's matchup with the Tigers. St Thomas are coming off two consecutive 0-0 draws against SCAC opponents Texas Lutheran and Southwestern. They will likely turn to Senior forward Daniel Castro, who leads the Celts goal tally with nine so far this season. In the 2023 regular season, Trinity defeated the Celts 4-2 at McGinlay field. The Tigers' all time record against the Celts stands at 3-5-2.

On the Colorado College Tigers: The Tigers have started the 2024 season on form, with a record of 12-1-2 and their only loss coming up against No.1 Mary Washington. They move into this weekend after two shutout victories against Southwestern and Texas Lutheran. Colorado will look to Senior midfield duo Alexander Ward and Vincent Luglio for goals, each with five so far this season. Last time out, Trinity were defeated 3-2. The Trinity Tiger's maintain a record of 27-7-3 against Colorado.

Looking Ahead
