Tiger Women's Soccer head to Pennsylvania to compete in the third round of the NCAA III Soccer Playoffs against the University of Scranton on Saturday.
 
The Tigers (17-1-3) opened NCAA tournament play with two hard fought wins over California Lutheran and Pomona Pitzer. The Tigers defeated the reigning champions 1-0 in the first round after a second half goal from Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas / Flour Bluff). The hard graft continued Sunday as Trinity took on Pomona Pitzer. Barganski once again broke the deadlock to give the Tigers the lead, but the Sagehens responded quickly to level the game once again. The Sagehens battled the Tigers throughout the rest of the match, taking it to double overtime and penalties. Trinity defeated Pomona 3-2 on penalties with Lauryn Lewis (Carrollton, Texas / Creekview) making two saves to take the Tigers into the Sweet Sixteen.
 
Preview - Tigers vs Royals 
 
The Tigers will play against the University of Scranton Royals on Saturday, November 23rd with the match getting underway at 3:30 PM ET. This will be the first time the Tigers face Scranton.
 
On the Scranton University Royals: The Royals bring a record of 19-1-2 (9-0 LANDMARK) into their matchup with the Tigers. Recently, the Royals defeated Marywood University 3-1 in and Wesleyan University 2-0 in the first and second rounds respectively. The Tiger defense will need to key in on forward Niamh Healy, who leads the Royals with 17 goals.

If the Tigers collect a win, they will play in the fourth round on Sunday, November 24th at 3:00 PM ET.
