SAN ANTONIO – The 16th-ranked Tiger women and 24th-ranked Trinity men grew their leads following the second day of action at the Tiger Invitational Swimming & Diving Meet on Saturday.
Trinity's women topped 900 points (909.5) and hold a commanding lead over second-place Colorado State University-Pueblo's 425 points. Southwestern University (TX) is third with 318.5 points, followed by Loyola University-New Orleans (LA) in fourth with 288 points, and University of Texas-Permian Basin in fifth with 167 points scored in two days.
The Trinity men more than doubled their lead from day one, finishing tonight's finals with a whopping 833 points scored. University of Texas-Permian Basin has scored 648 to stand second after two days, while Loyola University-New Orleans (LA) is third with 391 points. Southwestern University (TX) is third with 234 points, followed by McMurry University (TX) in fifth with 87 points.
Both Trinity teams swept the relays to open up the swimming finals session this evening and then proceeded to win seven individual events. The Tigers went on to take the top three spots 21 times on Saturday.

Trinity will complete the final day at the Tiger Invite on Sunday, as both teams look to finish off the team victories. With diving finishing its competition today, just the swim teams will compete in prelims at 10:00 a.m., and then finals at 5:00 p.m.
