Trinity University Women's Soccer hits the road for the first time this season with a trip to Seguin to play a non-conference match against Texas Lutheran.
The Tigers (1-0-1) wrapped up the weekend with a tie against Occidental College and a 3-0 win over Hardin-Simmons.
Bri Werner (Woodbine, Maryland / Glenelg) scored the season's first goal with a powerful shot from outside the box and also added an assist.
Malea Cesar (Portland, Oregon / Sunset) and
Madisyn Barganski (Corpus Christi, Texas) each contributed a goal, while
Michaela Bosco (Weatherford, Texas / Weatherford) provided an assist in the Hardin-Simmons match.

The Tigers will head to Seguin to take on SCAC rival Texas Lutheran in a non-conference match on Friday, September 6th at 6:00 PM.
On the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs: After finishing the 2023 season with a 9-5-4 record (5-1-1 in SCAC), the Bulldogs are currently 0-1. They lost 2-1 to Hardin-Simmons in their only match so far this season. Freshman defender Lilly Noblett scored the Bulldogs' lone goal, assisted by two teammates. Texas Lutheran's top player, All-Region forward Alyssa Simien, who was the 2023 SCAC Player of the Year and led the league in goals last season (11), is expected to be a key player. Trinity defeated Texas Lutheran in both matches last season, outscoring them 6-1. Historically, Trinity has a perfect 34-0 record against the Bulldogs.
