SAN ANTONIO – The Trinity University Men's Basketball team dominated McMurry University with a commanding 76-40 victory on Friday night.
The Tigers improved their record to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play. Trinity's defense was relentless, forcing 29 turnovers and converting them into 36 points. The Tigers outscored McMurry 50-24 in the paint and held a 65-48 advantage in total rebounds. The bench also made a significant impact, contributing 46 points compared to McMurry's 25.
Jacob Harvey (Huffman, Texas / Hargrave) led the Tigers with 16 points, sinking five three-pointers and adding three assists.
Jackson Lawson (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) followed with 10 points and two rebounds.
Will Bronson (Dallas, Texas / Jesuit) nearly recorded a double-double with six points and 10 rebounds.
Zach Fenn (Covington, Louisiana / Saint Paul's) chipped in four points and five steals, while
Ty Williams (Pearland, Texas / Pearland) added seven points and one assist.

Zach Fenn intercepted a McMurry pass and scored a layup, pushing the Tigers into double digits. Midway through the first half, Fenn added consecutive steals that led to more points, extending Trinity's advantage to 22-9. Dominant defense continued, and
Jackson Lawson closed out the half with a three-point play, giving Trinity a 36-18 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Harvey opened the scoring with a three-pointer off a sharp pass from
Carter Ruck (Southlake, Texas / Carroll). Harvey continued his hot streak with a four-point play, extending the lead to 23. Later, a tip-in layup by Bronson pushed the Tigers ahead by 30.

Ty Williams capped off the night with an-and-one layup through McMurry's defense, increasing the lead to a game-high 41 points. Trinity closed out the game with a decisive 76-40 victory.
