Sherman, Texas - Trinity University's 18th-ranked women's team secured the team title with 844 points, thanks to outstanding performances in individual and relay events.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team dominated the field, winning in 3:48.76. In the 200-yard freestyle, Rachel Brown (Flower Mound, Texas / Marcus) claimed victory with a time of 2:02.98. Neely Burns (Phoenix, Ariz. / Thunderbird) delivered standout performances, winning both the 200-yard butterfly (2:12.26) and the 100-yard freestyle (56.30).
In backstroke events, Allison Ortiz (Houston, Texas / Stratford) captured the 200-yard backstroke title (2:16.35), while Audrey Jacobson (Dallas, Texas / School for the Talent and Gifted) placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.95). Trinity's breaststrokers also made an impact, with Sid McCullough (Centennial, Colo. / Cherry Creek) taking third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.19).
The sprint events saw Jules Wiehrdt (Waco, Texas / Midway) take second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.42), while the 200-yard IM a third-place finish by Julia Carter (Dripping Springs, Texas / Dripping Springs)Â (2:21.13).
With exceptional depth and multiple top-three finishes in nearly every event, Trinity University's men's and women's teams firmly established themselves as the dominant force at the 2025 Austin College Invitational.

We did some experimenting with some off events and found some hidden talents today," said Head Coach
Cathleen Pruden. "It was fun to see some folks outside their comfort zone. While we might not ever use them there, Amy and Emme have some distance potential. We'll turn our focus back to the SCAC Championships this week as we gear up for Southwestern!"
