The Tiger Men's Hoops team is set to hit the court once again for a rematch against former ASC opponents.

The Tigers (12-3, 5-1 SCAC) extended their winning streak to six games last weekend with two impressive victories. They defeated Dallas 80-70 and followed up with an 82-61 win over Austin College.

Christian Green (San Antonio, Texas / Veterans Memorial) led the charge, scoring 42 points on 17-31 shooting and grabbing 17 rebounds over the weekend.
Jacob Harvey (Huffman, Texas / Hargrave) was the team's second-leading scorer, contributing 33 points and sinking eight three-pointers.

As a team, the Tigers excel nationally, ranking 12th in free throw attempts per game (25.2), 17th in steals per game (11.1), and 18th in turnovers forced per game (18.33). Individually, Harvey is ranked seventh nationally in free throw percentage (92.6%), fifth in three-point attempts (143), and eighth in three-pointers per game (3.33).
Zach Fenn (Covington, Louisiana / Saint Paul's) also shines, ranking 14th in total steals (45) and 11th in steals per game (3.00).

The Tigers will start the weekend in Abilene against McMurry on January 24th at 7:30 PM. Then, on January 26th, Trinity will be in Austin to take on Concordia at 2:00 PM.Â

On the McMurry War Hawks: The War Hawks have faced challenges this season, holding a 3-10 record (1-3 SCAC). After their loss to the Tigers, McMurry pulled off an upset victory over Schreiner, 67-65. However, they dropped their next two games to St. Thomas and Colorado College. While McMurry shoots the ball well, turnovers have been a significant issue, and they are allowing opponents to shoot nearly 45% from the field. Guard Matt Pena leads the team offensively, averaging 14.1 points per game. In their last meeting, the Tigers dominated McMurry with a 76-40 victory. Trinity holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series against the War Hawks.

On the Concordia Tornadoes: This season, Concordia holds a 4-9 record (1-3 SCAC). After their game against Trinity, the Tornadoes earned an impressive 82-66 victory over Colorado College but were subsequently defeated by St. Thomas by more than 20 points. Concordia has struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 29% from deep, while allowing opponents to shoot nearly 38% from three-point range. Guard Joey Ramirez has been a key player for the Tornadoes, averaging 16 points and over six rebounds per game. In their most recent matchup, the Tigers defeated Concordia 88-80, extending their all-time series lead to 7-4 against the Tornadoes.
