BOSTON – The #11 Trinity Tiger Volleyball Team earned at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs and will begin its postseason run at the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by MIT in Boston, Massachusetts.
Trinity enters the tournament as a second seed, and they will face seventh-seed Manhattanville in the Round of 64 on Thursday at 1 PM CST. MIT holds the top seed in the regional and Salisbury, Williams, and Franklin and Marshall round out the top 5 seeds. Manhattanville comes in as a seventh seed and Colorado College closes the bracket. Courtney Pope (New Braunfels, Texas / Canyon) and Senior Outside Hitter
Reagan Whatley (The Woodlands, Texas / The Woodlands) received First-Team All-Region honors for Region 6.
On the Manhattanville Valiants
The Valiants are 20-7 overall and boast a perfect 11-0 Conference Record. They punched their ticket into the tournament by winning their fourth straight Skyline Conference Title. They only lost 4 sets in their conference all season. They are led in kills by Senior Outside Hitter Loren Hernandez and she is fueled by Assist leader and Junior Setter Alana Rivera Torres. Junior Libero, Kayla Jennings, holds down the back row with over 500 digs this season. The Valiants are a strong serving team, averaging 2.59 aces per set. They will be coming out strong, looking to avenge their last season's loss in the first round against Gettysburg College. This will be the Tigers and Valiants first ever meeting.

With a win, the Tigers will be one of the 32 teams still standing. They will face the winner of Colorado College and Salisbury.
