Six Tiger Women's Soccer Players Selected for CSC Academic Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trinity University's women's soccer team featured six players who were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team® for the 2025 season.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Tigers who made this year's team were seniors Hanna Khan (Southlake, Texas / Carroll) and Ilsa Newland (St. Louis, Mo. / Kirkwood), juniors Kayla Boven (Katy, Texas / Tompkins) and Malea Cesar (Portland, Ore. / Sunset), and sophomores Alex Doran (Boerne, Texas / Geneva School of Boerne) and Kylie Harris (Missouri City, Texas / Ridge Point).

Cesar, Khan, and Newland are all repeat Academic All-District® honorees. Cesar and Khan both received the honor last year, while Newland received recognition after the 2023 season. Cesar and Khan are both three-time All-Conference selection who both earned Second Team All-Southern Athletic Association accolades this season, while Newland is also a three-time All-Conference honoree. She was voted the SAA Defensive Athlete of the Year and claimed a spot on the All-SAA First Team. Khan and Newland have been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll three times and Cesar has claimed the same honor in each of her first two years.

Boven earned SAA Honorable Mention status this year and has been on the SCAC Academic Honor Roll each of the past two seasons. Doran was a four-time SAA Offensive Player of the Week and was voted the SAA Offensive Athlete of the Year this season, scoring a team-best 12 goals that included six game-winners. Harris picked up Second Team All-SAA honors this year, following her SCAC Defensive Player of the Year and SCAC Freshman of the Year accolades in 2024. Doran and Harris were also on last year's SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Led by Head Coach Dylan Harrison, Trinity finished the season with an overall record of 14-2-4 and won the SAA Regular Season Championship with a 5-0-2 record in conference play. The Tigers also won the SAA Tournament Championship in their first year in the league, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs before falling in an overtime game at home.
