Preview - Senior Day

The Tigers will be back at Trinity Multi-Purpose Stadium for a clash against Millsaps on Saturday, November 8th at 1:00 PM.

On the Millsaps Majors: The Majors enter this week with a 5-3 record (3-2 SAA). Millsaps went 2-1 in non-conference play, dropping the opener to Belhaven before earning back-to-back wins over Centenary and Hendrix. In conference competition, the Majors have picked up victories over Rhodes and Southwestern, along with a statement 31-21 upset of Maryville.

Freshman quarterback Grant Bizjack leads the offense and has been remarkably consistent, throwing at least two touchdown passes in every game this season. He's completed 66 percent of his passes with just four interceptions. In the backfield, Braxton Garmon paces the rushing attack with 396 total yards and three touchdowns. Out wide, Greg Donaldson has been Bizjack's top target, recording 736 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns — a key weapon Trinity will look to contain.

On defense, senior defensive back Luke Bridges leads the Majors with 51 total tackles. Millsaps also features two defensive linemen with three sacks apiece, while defensive back W.H. Carver has made a major impact in the secondary with four interceptions, including two against Centre College.

Special teams have been steady for the Majors, as punter Jace Vasquez averages 41 yards per punt with only two fair catches all season — potentially giving Trinity's return unit opportunities for favorable field position.

Last season, the Tigers defeated Millsaps 38-24. Historically, Trinity holds a narrow 23-22 advantage in the all-time series.

Looking Ahead

The Tigers will conclude the regular season against Maryville on November 15th.
