Tigers Regular Season Finale on Julie Jenkins Court
The Trinity Tigers (19-4) return home after 6 games on the road. The Tigers will host Southwestern University and Hardin Simmons University on Friday and Saturday.
 
AVCA Poll- Tigers at 8
The Tigers continue climbing up the American Volleyball Coaches Poll and landed at #8 this week. La Verne continues to occupy the #1 spot followed by East Texas Baptist at #2. Wisconsin- Eau Claire, Illinois Wesleyan, and Wisconsin- Oshkosh round out the top 5. SAA Opponent Berry came in at #18 and Southwestern received votes.
 
Preview- Texas Volleyball Showdown
The Tigers will play off their last SAA regular season game against Southwestern University on Friday at 6 PM. They will close out the weekend with Hardin Simmons at 3 PM on Saturday. After the game, the Tiger's 4 seniors will be honored for Senior Night. 
 
On Southwestern University:
The Pirates and Tigers are facing off for the SAA Regular Season Champion Title. Southwestern defeated the Tigers in their first meeting this season in a close 4 set match. Freshman Outside Hitter Tatum Ahrens leads the Pirates' attack with 265 kills, while Senior Emily Marks follows closely from the opposite pin with 236. Orchestrating the offense is Senior Setter Annika Flora, who has tallied 605 assists. On the defensive end, Izzy Rodriguez anchors the back row with 444 digs, averaging 5 per set.  
 
On Hardin Simmons:
Hardin Simmons competes in the American Southwest Conference. They are 15-8 overall, and 2nd in the Conference. Junior Outside Hitter Leigh Jespersen leads the team in kills (216) and aces (40). Abbi Allen is second in kills and leads the team in blocks with 91. The two teams have met 18 times and the Tigers have only lost once. 
 
Looking Ahead
The Tigers have secured their spot in the SAA Conference Tournament and will travel to host school, Oglethorpe University.
