SAN ANTONIO- The Trinity University Softball Team won the first two games in today's conference series against University of the Ozarks.
Game one- Trinity 7, Ozarks 1
The first game of today's match up was the first time the Tigers have stepped foot on the diamond with the Eagles as an opponent.
It was a slow start to the game, with neither team scoring a run until the Eagles took the first lead in the top of the 4th with the score 1-0.
Out for vengeance, the Tigers started strong in the bottom of the 4th with

Samantha Tagawa (Agoura Hills, California / Agoura), shot a liner up the middle to score the second run of the game.
The Tigers continued to add fresh runs on the board when

The Tigers continued to rack up runs in the 5th inning as Del Toro put an imprint into Left field's wall and secured her 2nd RBI of the game. The rally continued with another shot to center by

Game two- Trinity 5, Ozarks 0
In the second match up of today's double header, Trinity University's lineup came out stacked with power.
In the first pitch of the 2nd inning,
Carsyn Lee (Flower Mound, Texas / Flower Mound) smashed a solo homer over the left field fence, and kicked off another rally for the Tigers that would continue throughout the rest of the game.
Taking advantage of the Eagles' shift to the left side of the field,
Sydney Watson (San Antonio, Texas / San Antonio Christian) lined a pitch into right field to score the 2nd run of the inning, going into the top of the 3rd with a 2-0 lead over the Eagles.
Following Lee, Boudreaux took advantage of a fat first pitch in the bottom of the 3rd inning, hitting an absolute missile over the center field wall ending the inning with a wider lead of 3-0 against the Eagles.
Once again, another Tiger bomb was demolished to left center by Gonzalez to end the 4th inning, as the Tigers continued to show no mercy as they racked up a new score of 4-0.
The final run of the second game was scored with a team effort as
Ella Whitacre (Roanoke, Texas / Byron Nelson) sent a screamer down the right field line for a triple, and scored on a sacrifice fly ball by Boudreaux.
The Tigers showed out on the field today with no errors and backed up pitcher
Megan Kriechbaum (Cedar Hills, Utah / Pleasant Grove). The Megladon threw her second no-hitter of the season, dealing out strikes and mowing through the Eagle lineup, racking up 10 strikeouts throughout the game. Today's no-hitter was the 3rd of the season, which has not been accomplished since 2006.
