GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Trinity University men's and women's swimming & diving teams added four more All-American awards to the trophy case at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
The morning session opened with the 200 medley relay and the team of
Audrey Jacobson (Dallas, Texas / School for the Talent and Gifted),
Neely Burns (Phoenix, Ariz. / Thunderbird),
Allison Ortiz (Houston, Texas / Stratford), and
Amy Benson (Newmarket, N.H. / Phillips Exeter Academy) finished 21st with a time of 1:45.28. That time is more than a second faster than their previous best and improves the team's time that came in ranked third in school history.
The Tiger women's 800 free relay team swam in the Consolation Final to close out the prelims session, and after the evening results of the timed final, Trinity secured a 16th-place finish with a time of 7:34.07. That time is more than five seconds faster than the previous best and moves the team up to fourth in school history. Swimming the relay and earning Second Team All-America honors were Burns, Jacobson,
Julia Carter (Dripping Springs, Texas / Dripping Springs), and Benson.

Tomorrow marks the fourth and final day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships and the Tigers will be back in action in several events.
Luke Fender (Jackson, Miss. / St. Andrew's Episcopal) will compete in the men's 1,650 free, while Benson swims the 100 free, and Burns races in the 200 breaststroke. Jacobson, Carter, Benson, and Burns will also take part in the 200 free relay.
