GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA – Trinity Swimming & Diving wrapped up the NCAA Championships with more All-American honors on the final day of competition.
The Tiger women secured a 25th-place finish overall. Kicking off the day,
Luke Fender (Jackson, Mississippi / St. Andrew's Episcopal) placed 13th in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:45.17, earning his second All-American recognition of the season.
Amy Benson (New Market, New Hampshire / Phillips Exeter Academy) followed with a strong swim in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 50.80 to finish 19th.
Neely Burns (Phoenix, Arizona / Thunderbird) added another All-American honor after swimming a 2:17.00 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing 10th in prelims to qualify for the consolation final. She improved her time in the final to 2:16.56, finishing 3rd in the heat.
In the final event for Trinity, the 400-yard freestyle relay team—Burns, Benson,
Julia Carter (Dripping Springs, Texas / Dripping Springs), and
Audrey Jacobson (Dallas, Texas / School for the Talented and Gifted)—finished 19th with a time of 3:27.55.
